Design Introspective | From a House to a Home

It all begins with an idea.

A spark inside of you that says,” hey, I think I can do better and live better within my space”. Interior Design can not only change the way we look at our space, but also its functionality. Once you have a space that feels like your own, you can not only be more successful in your day-to-day life. But you get more joy from the space you inhibit.

Turning a House into a Home-- It is a common phrase, but what does this really mean? For some people adding a few décor items is what makes a space feel more like a home. However, if you peel back into the structure of your space and how you are functioning in it, how you truly live in your space, how does this affect your day to day? When you see designers incorporating wainscoting, unique tile, wood slated walls, tearing out existing cabinets and re-structuring the space; it is because the vision is there for how to make a space beautiful and functional. Applying intricate details of what matters to the client and adding custom structural dimensions and heights, for example can drastically improve your quality of life.

With this blog I am marrying my head and heart, and striving to create beautiful functional spaces that transform the way Interior Design is perceived. I am taking my passion and desire to share my design tips, DIY projects from our home to yours as well as taking you on a journey of projects from beginning to end that feature our client installations.

I hope this finds you well and allows you open up your heart to the world of Interior Design.

Let’s turn your house into your dream home.
